

IF we learned anything from the Union’s first game it’s that Nowak’s lineup didn’t work. This has been discussed extensively here, here, here, and just about everywhere else.
So what should the starting lineup be against DCU on the 10th? Is it too early to start speculating? Hello no! I’m suffering from Union-on-TV-withdrawal and need to keep the posts going.

Michael Orozco, defender for Mexican first division side San Luis and the US U-23 national team, has signed with the Philadelphia Union, team officials announced in a press release today.
“We are happy to have Michael join us,” team manager Peter Nowak said in the press release. “It is great to have a player at the top of his game show his desire and commitment. We hope to have him as an anchor at the back of our defense for a long time to come.”
The Union made the deal by trading an undisclosed amount of allocation money to the Red Bulls for their number one spot in the allocation order.

The signing of Michael Orozco could mean some major shuffling of the Union's roster
By now everyone knows yesterday’s big story in Union-land: Michael Orozco is reportedly on his way to Philadelphia. The American defender, who has seven caps for the US U-23 national team and one cap for the senior side, has reportedly severed his ties with Mexican side San Luis and is ready to sign with the Union.
Numerous Spanish-language sources have reported the story, including Univision and Goal.com; SBI has also reported the story, citing another Mexican paper. All the reports that I have found are based on a single source: a press release on San Luis’ official website.
