Over there (at The Shin Guardian)

For anyone who missed it, I got invited to take part in The Shin Guardian‘s new jumble roundtable series, wherein I try to appear smart and knowledgeable amongst other folks who actually are smart and knowledgeable.

Two parts of the series have been posted so far: here and here.

Many thanks to The Shin Guardian bros for the invite.

    Pretty good read, and chat.

Seemed a little too random for me personally, but beside that it was good in parts.

Do you guys know of free radio online? You can set up a time where people can call in or you set just chat over this stuff and the broadcast it. All for free on a nice website. I can’t remember the name, but if you guys are at all interested it is really cool and ill get the website again. I know of alot of sport talk fans that do it.

It would be awesome to get a fan ran chat on the union specifically.

I think the nature of the american fan experience kind of necessitates that discussions be a little random. We’ve just got too many interests all over the place. It’s a little easier for, say, the English fans.

As for the radio: I’d love to see the Shin Guardian on TV or radio (intelligent, knowledgeable people are underrepresented in US soccer broadcasting, at present). I’m too shy though. Doing a blog is easy enough but radio wouldn’t work, and TV would be impossible–deer in the headlights and all that.

Send along the address though. It sounds pretty interesting.

I understand the need for randomness in sports but its a little hard to follow while reading. it would be great chat though on the radio. Heck most sport talk radio is just random stuff. I think the group would sound great on the online radio.

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ The free part gives one free hour per show while the 39.99 gives 2 hours. A hour here and there is plenty.

I’m not sure if I could do the radio thing either. I’m not sure if I have that much to say in general. maybe someone reading though, gets the idea.

Thanks for the link. If Matthew and Mark of the Shin Guardian are reading this: hint hint you should start a radio show!
