Who should the Union start against DC United on April 10?

IF we learned anything from the Union’s first game it’s that Nowak’s lineup didn’t work. This has been discussed extensively here, here, here, and just about everywhere else.

So what should the starting lineup be against DCU on the 10th? Is it too early to start speculating? Hello no! I’m suffering from Union-on-TV-withdrawal and need to keep the posts going.

Over the next few weeks I’ll probably begin every post like this: “Sorry!”

I hate that I can’t cover the pre-season in depth, but grad student responsibilities seem to interfere with keeping a website up-to-date.  And I did have something that sounded like a commitment for a match report from the game, but that disappeared into the ether.

Saturday morning recommended reading

Things are quiet today (as expected) in pre-pre-season Union news. But one minor story that should resonate with fans is the news that two Union players–Jack McInerney and Amobi Okugo–have been called up to represent the US U-20 national team at the 2010 Copa Chivas in Guadalajara, Mexico. Let’s hope they are just the first in what will be a long line of Union players called up to youth national sides and to the senior side.
